Big news for all you God of War fans! Amazon MGM and Sony Pictures TV announced that their eagerly anticipated God of War series would be rebooted by the studio after executive producers Rafe Judkins, Hawk Ostby, and Mark Fergus parted ways from the project. Yet, while pilot scripts by writers Craig Mazin and Isaac Kasdan were praised, it is the studios that are now taking the project in a new direction, with a new writing team to soon be announced. The reboot comes in the shadow of Amazon's success with its Fallout series, placing God of War in a direct line as one of the heavy-hitters in video game adaptations.
And so, the saga will continue; do look forward to casting, storyline, and release date updates as the series progresses toward production. Would the new team do justice to the rawness of Kratos' myths? We eagerly look forward to that!
